Many of our member districts have signed on for our Building Resilient Students and Schools program, which aims to develop a common understanding of the impact that childhood trauma can have on students in the classroom. It prepares schools to implement research-based practices in planning behavior supports across all tiers, with the assistance of a trainer, to maximize student engagement and learning opportunities.

August is National Truancy Prevention Month. Research has shown that chronic absenteeism steadily increases in the middle grades, especially for homeless children and youth, and then continues to increase throughout high school.

We proudly support 26 schools as part of the Small, Rural, Charter School Consortium, aiming to educate students and caregivers about the importance of daily, on-time attendance, while providing resources.
