Children and Youth with Disabilities from Mitsubish Electric America Foundation
Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation funds youth programs that help children and youth with disabilities. The grants range from $10,000 to $40,000 with no deadlines.

Dirksen Congressional Center
Social Studies and History teachers - This award supports work to enhance the understanding of the U.S. Congress.

GEAR UP from the U.S. Department of Education
The GEAR UP program is a discretionary grant program designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. GEAR UP provides five-year grants to States and partnerships to provide services at high-poverty middle and high schools. GEAR UP grantees serve an entire cohort of students beginning no later than seventh grade and follow the cohort through high school. These funds are also used to grant scholarships to low-income students.

Graden Teaching Grants from the National Gardening Association
The National Gardening Association will award 100 Youth Garden Grants to schools, organizations. community centers, clubs, and intergenerational programs throughout the U.S. Each grant consists of a $500 gift card from The Home Depot toward the purchase of supplies, tools and plants, as well as educational publications from NGA.

Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation
The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation supports music education through the donation and repair of musical instruments for underserved schools, community music programs and individual students nationwide. The Foundation's Melody Program provides musical instruments and instrument repairs to existing K-12 school music programs that have no other source of financing to purchase additional musical instruments and materials. The Special Projects Program provides also provides musical instruments and repairs to community schools of the arts, after-school programs, and youth orchestras. Cash grants are not made. K-12 school music programs, community schools of the arts, after-school programs, and youth orchestras throughout the country are eligible to apply.

National Education Association's Foundation for Innovation Grants and Learning Leadership Grants
The National Education Association's Foundation for the Improvement of Education (NFIE) now offers more than 300 small grants of $1,000 to $3,000 each on an ongoing, year-round basis. These grants fund classroom innovations or professional development for improved practice in public K-12 schools and higher-education institutions. NFIE will award up to 250 innovation grants worth $2,000 per year and 75 Leadership Learning grants ranging between $1,000 and $3,000. Grants will fund activities for 12 months from the date of the award.

National Endowment for the Humanities
NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in humanities.

Nuclear Age Peace Foundation - Waging Peace
The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation administers a series of annual contests and awards to encourage individuals to address and personalize issues of peace and security and to show appreciation to those exhibiting exceptional devotion to promoting peace.

PNC Financial Services Group - Grow up Great
Part of a $100 million investment in early childhood education by the PNC Financial Services Group, the PNC Grow Up Great grant program offers $503,000 to better prepare children; from birth to ages five for school, Grants will be awarded to12 early-education organizations, including Head Start centers. Nearly $50 million of : PNC's overall investment will be devoted to grants to nonprofit early-education organizations over the next 10 years.
